Guitar, Mic, Amp
On light beige paper, an electric guitar, microphone, and amplifier coalesce in a delicate, semi-abstract Cubist-inspired explosion of line. No solid forms or heavy shading anchor the objects; instead, thousands of precise, overlapping graphite strokes—short hatches, cross-hatches, confident contours, and angular intersections—fracture and reassemble the setup into a web of interwoven planes.
The guitar dominates the center, presented vertically: body, neck, headstock, tuning pegs, pickups, and bridge are clearly legible yet deconstructed—overlapped by sharp rectangular shards suggesting amp grille, speaker cabinets, and mic stand. Angular fragments tilt, intersect, and penetrate one another, creating a dense, floating architecture where parts of one instrument bleed into another. The composition is loosely framed by intersecting lines, with the greatest energy and overlap at the core; toward the edges, strokes thin and open, allowing the arrangement to breathe into the surrounding paper.
